Reading the passage
Grameen offers credit. BRI and SafeSave offer credit plus savings services. All serve the same broad kind of customer, but the broader models add something useful to the basic service.
What we’re looking for
The first comparison that comes to mind might be businesses in one field offering different services. We can sharpen that: this isn't merely two unrelated specialties. The other providers retain lending and add a component that helps meet customers' needs.
Working the answers
- A
This describes passing the same lessons to new audiences. It doesn't capture an added financial service for the same broad customer group.
- B
An architect and engineers occupy different roles in carrying out one plan. Grameen, BRI, and SafeSave are separate service providers, not a designer and the people implementing its design.
- CCorrect
The successful basic device matches the lending model. The added component matches savings services, which improve the overall offering. “Classic” needn't mean ancient; the important relationship is a functioning model and versions with a useful addition.
- D
This emphasizes taking one program to new places and adapting it locally. We aren't told BRI and SafeSave simply copied Grameen's program for other cities. The salient difference is the range of services, not geographic transfer.
- E
All three organizations serve poor people. The broader products aren't presented as upgraded versions aimed at wealthy customers, so this changes the clientele in a way the comparison doesn't support.
