Reading the passage

This is an open inference question, so I don't have one exact claim to predict. What we know about the family is fairly specific: it serves five neighboring ethnic groups, varies some features for its clients and maintains a consistent overall approach. We'll check what follows from those facts.

Working the answers

  • A

No comparison is made with work produced by distant sculptors. Similarities within the Konaté family's output don't establish a match with someone else's work far away.

  • B

Differences among client styles aren't differences among family members' personal styles. We aren't given that comparison between the sculptors themselves.

  • C

We hear about family members producing work, not other families collaborating with them. C adds a working relationship that isn't described.

  • D
    Correct

The family produces work for five major neighboring ethnic groups, and Nuna and Ko are only two. The account therefore supports production for other groups as well. The two named mask styles are examples, not an exhaustive client list.

  • E

Ouri is identified as one center of style. We aren't given the ages of centers or a ranking that would establish it as the oldest.
