Which one of the following(20 more words not shown)

Reading the passage

Read the contrast around the phrase. Our Big Bang began our universe, but not the larger multiverse, which also includes things we can never see because they lie beyond our cosmic bubble. The bubble is our own universe within that larger whole. We need the thing being contained, not everything that contains it.

Working the answers

  • A

This names the larger multiverse. Some of that larger reality is beyond the bubble, so it cannot be what the bubble itself means here.

  • B
    Correct

Our universe is contained in the multiverse. That preserves the distinction the sentence draws between our visible setting and the larger reality beyond it.

  • C

Inflation is the expansion process. The bubble is the universe described, not the event through which it expanded.

  • D

These would be assumptions in our thinking. The sentence concerns what lies beyond our universe, not a limitation created by our theoretical beliefs.

  • E

Low entropy describes a condition of our universe at its beginning. It isn't the universe or region referred to by the bubble.
